Privacy Policy

At WakeGuard, we prioritize your privacy. We do not require an account, and the app is designed to process safety data on-device whenever possible.

TrueDepth Camera (ARKit) & Face Tracking Data

  • Intended Use: WakeGuard uses Apple’s TrueDepth APIs to observe eye-closure patterns and eyelid position in real time so it can detect drowsiness signals and trigger alerts.
  • Data Privacy: Images and face-tracking metrics are processed on-device. Face data is not saved, recorded, sold, or shared with third parties.

Microphone & Speech Recognition

  • Intended Use: Voice responses such as “I’m here” are used to verify the driver is conscious during hands-free safety checks.
  • Data Privacy: Voice data is analyzed instantly through Apple speech tools and is not recorded.

Location Services (GPS)

  • Intended Use: Location is used to show your route, support in-app navigation, and keep safety monitoring active during driving.
  • Data Privacy: Location data is active only while using relevant navigation features and is not stored outside those flows.

RevenueCat & StoreKit

  • Intended Use: WakeGuard uses RevenueCat and StoreKit to manage in-app purchases and subscription status.
  • Data Privacy: Purchase data is handled with anonymous identifiers only for subscription verification.

Local Storage (UserDefaults)

Alarm sound choices, eye sensitivity settings, and subscription state are stored locally on your device.

Third-Party Tools & Advertising

  • Intended Use: Device identifiers may be used to measure campaign performance and show more relevant promotions.
  • Data Privacy: Advertising analytics may rely on third-party SDKs such as Meta. Shared data does not include face, camera, or microphone content, and tracking permission can be revoked at any time in iOS settings.
